  • Book Review — up to 1,200 words.
    Authors should indicate article type on the submission form.
  1. Language, style & formatting (manuscript preparation)
  • Language: English. Manuscripts must be clearly written in standard academic English. Non-native English speakers are encouraged to use professional language editing before submission.
  • Document format: Submit a single editable file (DOCX preferred). For LaTeX submissions provide source files and a compiled PDF.
  • Layout: A4 or US Letter, margins ≥ 2.5 cm, 12-pt font (Times New Roman or equivalent), double line spacing, continuous line numbering if possible. Include page numbers.
  • Title page (separate): Title (concise), full author names, institutional affiliations (full postal addresses), ORCID iDs, corresponding author with full contact details (email & postal address), short running title (≤ 60 characters), and word count.
  • Authorship: List authors in the order agreed by all contributors. Provide an author contribution statement (see Section 9). All authors must approve the final submitted version and agree to be accountable for its accuracy.
  • Abstract & keywords: See Section 4.
  • Headings: Use a consistent hierarchical system (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.1.1). Use bold for main headings.
  • References & citations: Use APA 7th edition style as the default referencing format across both journals unless a journal-specific style is announced. Authors should apply APA consistently. Provide DOI or stable URL for each reference when available. (If your discipline typically uses another widely accepted style, indicate this on submission and be consistent.)
  • Abbreviations & units: Spell out on first use; use SI units where applicable.
  1. Abstract, keywords & title
  • Title: Concise and informative (avoid abbreviations).
  • Abstract: For research and review articles include a single structured abstract of up to 250–300 words, with clearly labeled sub-sections where relevant (Background / Objectives / Methods / Results / Conclusions). For humanities essays, an unstructured abstract of up to 200–250 words is acceptable.
  • Keywords: Provide 3–6 keywords (use terms that increase discoverability). Consider subject indexing terms (e.g., MeSH, JEL codes if applicable).
  1. Figures, tables & supplementary material
  • Figures: Submit as separate files in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi for raster images). Accepted file types: TIFF, PNG, JPEG for images; SVG or EPS for vector graphics. Figures should be numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2) and include concise captions in the main manuscript. Colour figures are allowed. Supply original data for figure generation when requested.
  • Tables: Provide editable tables in the manuscript file (do not supply tables as images). Large datasets should be provided as supplementary files or deposited in a public repository and linked (Zenodo recommended).
  • Supplementary files: Acceptable as separate files (PDF, XLSX/CSV for datasets, ZIP). Label them clearly as Supplementary File 1, 2, etc., and describe them in the manuscript. Supplementary material may be published as online-only material.
  1. File formats & naming conventions
  • Manuscript: OMRP_[JournalShort]_[FirstAuthorLastName]_manuscript.docx (e.g., OMRP_AHL_Sarma_manuscript.docx)
  • Figures: OMRP_[JournalShort]_[FirstAuthorLastName]_Fig1.tiff, etc.
  • Tables: OMRP_[JournalShort]_[FirstAuthorLastName]_Table1.docx
  • Supplementary: OMRP_[JournalShort]_[FirstAuthorLastName]_Supp1.pdf
  1. Submission route

Submit manuscripts via our online Manuscript Submission form: /manuscript-submission. Do not send submitted manuscripts to editorial@omrpublication.com unless requested by the editorial office. Use the cover letter template (Section 13) and attach all supplementary files in the form.

  1. Editorial screening & peer review
  • Initial checks: Every submission undergoes an initial editorial triage for scope, adherence to author instructions, and basic quality checks. Manuscripts not meeting minimum standards or outside the journal’s scope will be desk rejected with reasons.
  • Plagiarism check: Manuscripts are screened using similarity-detection software (e.g., iThenticate). Any evidence of plagiarism or duplicate publication will result in rejection and may be reported to institutions.
  • Peer review model: OMR Publication uses double-blind peer review by default: reviewers do not see author identities and authors do not know reviewer identities. Authors must anonymize manuscripts (remove identifying information from the manuscript file; submit a separate title page with author details). See the Peer Review & Editorial Policy for exceptions and more detail.
  • Timescales: The time to first decision depends on reviewer availability and manuscript quality. Typical timelines are outlined in the Peer Review & Editorial Policy. (We recommend authors check the editorial office announcements for current averages.)
  1. Authorship, contributors & conflicts of interest
  • Authorship criteria: Authors should meet international authorship standards (e.g., ICMJE): substantial contributions to conception/design/data; drafting/revising the work; final approval; and accountability. All contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be listed in Acknowledgments with their contributions specified.
  • Author contributions: Provide a short CRediT-style statement (e.g., Conceptualization, Data curation, Formal analysis, Writing — original draft, Writing — review & editing).
  • Competing interests: Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial competing interests. If none exist, include the statement “The authors declare no competing interests.”
  • Reviewer suggestions/exclusions: Authors may suggest reviewers and specify any individuals to exclude (with reasons); editors make the final selection.
  1. Ethics & research integrity
  • Human participants: Include ethical approval statement, name of approving committee, approval number, and statement of informed consent. For identifiable human data, confirm consent for publication.
  • Animals: Include institution and ethics committee approval and relevant guidelines followed.
  • Clinical trials: Trials must be registered in a recognized public trials registry before enrolment and registration number provided in the manuscript.
  • Research misconduct: OMR Publication follows COPE guidance. Allegations of misconduct will be investigated and may result in corrections, retractions, or notifications to institutions. See the Ethics & Integrity Policy.
  1. Data availability & reproducibility

OMR Publication requires a Data Availability Statement in every manuscript describing where the data supporting the findings can be accessed. Where possible deposit data, code, and materials in a public repository (Zenodo is recommended). If data cannot be shared, explain restrictions (e.g., privacy, legal). Providing open data increases reproducibility and indexer confidence.

  1. Preprints & prior publication

Posting a preprint prior to submission is allowed and will not be considered prior publication. Authors should declare any preprint (provide DOI or link) in the cover letter. Conference abstracts (short summaries) are permitted but full papers previously published are not.

  1. Cover letter — required (template)

Include a concise cover letter when submitting. Use the template below and paste into the cover letter text area in the submission form.

To improve discoverability and indexing, please ensure the submission form includes:

  • Complete author names and ORCID iDs;
  • Institution names and country;
  • Funding agencies and grant numbers;
  • Data availability statement and repository links (Zenodo preferred);
  • Structured abstract and keywords;
